About
Parkway Technology Solutions
Why Parkway Tech Exists
Chris Michalec founded Parkway Tech in Winston-Salem in 2008 around a straightforward principle: treat each client’s business as if it were our own. That means looking beyond the immediate technical issue to understand how downtime, security concerns, and poor communication affect daily work.
Parkway Tech grew from the belief that organizations deserve more than reactive fixes and confusing explanations. Leaders should not have to chase their IT provider, repeatedly report the same problem, or wonder whether technology spending supports the business. Our role is to take responsibility, communicate clearly, and help clients make practical decisions about their systems.
Today, we support growing organizations across the Greater Winston-Salem Area and the Piedmont Triad, with particular experience serving law firms, nonprofits, and other technology-dependent businesses. We combine day-to-day support with documentation, security planning, budgeting guidance, and regular strategic conversations so each client has a clearer path forward.

How We Work with Clients
Our approach reflects the responsibility we accept when an organization relies on us to guide and support its technology.
Take Ownership
We treat client technology issues as business issues, not isolated tickets. Our team stays focused on resolution while keeping the right people informed.
Communicate Clearly
Technology advice should be understandable and useful to business leaders. We explain options in practical terms, including the operational impact and priorities involved.
Work Consistently
Documented information and procedures help our team deliver a more consistent support experience. They also reduce dependence on any one person’s memory when work needs to be completed.
Plan Beyond Today
Each managed client receives strategic guidance through a dedicated technology expert. Regular conversations help connect budgeting, security improvements, and future investments to the organization’s goals.
